Upgrade to New Windows in Arlington Heights

Today, everyone strives to do their part for the environment, making more ecofriendly and sound choices. Did you know those choices extend to your windows, too? These days, most windows get approval from Energy Star for their energy efficiency. However, if you have windows that date back 20, even 30 years, then chances are, they’re not energy efficient in the least. That just wasn’t a priority for manufacturers back then. Also, Energy Star didn’t even begin assessing windows until the early 1990s. So what does that mean for you, the homeowner? Several things. For one, you could pay more on your energy bill without even realizing it. Also, with windows that age, you’re probably losing a lot of heat. Older windows often have a heat loss rate of up to 25 percent!

Hopefully, those two reasons above have convinced you to consider a window replacement for your Arlington Heights home. At Friendly Windows, we can ensure you get only the most beauteous, energy-efficient windows. We’re a Chicagoland window installation company that also specializes in home renovations. No matter your favorite window brand, from Anderson to Marvin and more, we carry them. We also stock many window materials, including wooden windows, vinyl, and Anderson’s own line of Fibrex windows. This unique compound material promises no peeling, blistering, flaking, or fading. It’s also got plenty of strength, outmuscling vinyl windows two times over.

Unlike the old windows in your home, all windows we install here at Friendly Windows get Energy Star approval first. You can trust in their rating and know your windows are incredibly energy efficient. Your replacement windows will also take care of that draftiness issue at home. Plus, you know you have ecofriendly windows now, not ones that suck up energy but give off little heat.

With lots of fame and acclaim surrounding Arlington Heights, you probably want to visit this village for yourself. What can you see and do while you’re there? Here’s some of our favorite picks.

One place you cannot miss is Arlington Park. As a race track for horses, you can watch heart-pumping, thrilling races here. There’s also gambling and casino games. Just make sure to take a break from all the fun to stroll around the park’s grounds. After all, you’re seeing a piece of this village’s history firsthand. The park dates back to 1927, when Harry D. “Curly” Brown from California first opened it. While the grandstand burned down in 1985, the park underwent a makeover in 1989 and has never looked better.

If you want to see a live horse race for yourself, make sure you stop by in August. Then, you can attend the International Festival of Racing. There’s three races during the event, including the Secretariat Stakes, the Beverley D. Stakes, and the Arlington Million Stakes.

For a change of pace, make it a point to visit the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre as well. More than 70,000 people flock to this theater to see over 40 productions. In a year, the staff may perform 300 times. In recent years, performances have included Rent, A Christmas Carol, The 39 Steps, and Moon Over Buffalo.
